Bada Dashain
My experience of Dashain 2075
Part of every teenager's school is dealing with hardships.Whether it is hard classwork,rules,hard homework or issues with peers,everyday we deal
with pressure.Eventually our mid term exam started and was on the way to over. Finally on the final day of the exam,we all got notified that we'll be having one month long holiday.Then the holiday bashed my portal.
Dashain festival is one of the greatest festival of Nepalese community which is celebrated all over the country delightfully.This festival falls on the month of September or octoberand is actually celebrated for 15 days.This is the longest Hindu festival in Nepal, traditionally celebrated for two weeks with prayers and offerings to Durga, the Universal Mother Goddess. The great harvest festival of Nepal, Dashain is a time for family reunions, exchange of gifts and blessings, and elaborate pujas. Dashain honors the Goddess Durga, who was created out of the shakti or energy of all the gods, armed with weapons from each of them.
This dashain wasn't that special which we had one
year back.This time we didn't go to one of our closest relatives i.e my aunt's home due to unexpected demise of the member of the family.
So we all family gathered and celebrated dashain this year.On the next day we went to morang where my maternal uncle's house lies. We put time there and I found more enjoyable there to celebrate dashain.
And we also went to our close relatives there. We also went to our (main house)where all family gather which is situated on Tehrathum.We put tika and received worthy blessing from my relatives. I played swing there and also ate delish food items.I was showered with lots of love by my relatives.On that day I actually felt like Dashain came to my portal.I played different games with my sisters and also went to jolunge pool.I didn't feel like going.
Unfortunately we had to leave for morang on the next day.On the way we also visited chiya Bagan.The guard didn't let us to enter so we had to go to the another side.We clicked a lot of pictures there.

Goddess Durga, symbolizing valor and prowess, is worshipped and offered sacrifices to ensure the devotees' progress and prosperity. During the first ten days, pilgrims flock to various river confluences early in the morning and sacred shrines in the evening. Ghatasthapana, Phool Pati, Mahaastami, Nawami and Vijaya Dashami are the series of the events under Dashain each marked with a different set of rituals.
