Experience on sericulture farm
On 14 June,we all students were taken to see sericulture farm which is located at khopasi,kavre.All of us were really very overjoyed to see the sericulture farm in actuality which we were studying since so long in our curriculum.We all students assembled in the ground before departure and eventually started the journey at sharp 10.The journey was of around 2hours enjoying all the sceneries and green verdures which definitely persuade anyone to realize the fact how beautiful Nepal is.
So after a long journey,we finally reached there.
There we were by a guide who gave us a lot of information about silkworm.Initially we were taken to tree where silkworm live in i.e. mulberry trees.Infact,we got to know that they had cultivated mulberry trees in around 100 ropani land in Khopasi. Then we were taken to the place where the cocoon of silkworm is killed by boiling it to extract the silk thread.Then after we saw the machine through which silk thread is obtained.Then we went to the farm surrounded by green floras and clicked the pictures.Then we headed forward to attain the class regarding the formation of slikworm,food they eat and silkthread's formation.There we got to know that each female silkworm lays about 300 eggs.After laying eggs it dies as it doesn't take food for 4-5days.Similarly he described about the various stages of silkworm,it's proper balanced diet, instrument to extract silk thread and it's importance economically.We also got to see real cocoon of silkworm and silkthread obtained through cocoon.So all in all we grasped a lot of knowledge.
